Fees for Homebirth and Insurance Coverage

The fee for our full homebirth service is a sliding scale fee of $3,000-$6,550. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due at the start of care. We will then develop a payment plan agreement for the remainder to be paid by 37 weeks.

Our package does not include the hepatitis B vaccine (or any vaccines), Rhogam (if indicated), which must be purchased by the patient through https://www.preciousarrows.com, lab work, ultrasounds, services from other providers in the event of a transfer or referral, or circumcision.

We accept the following types of payment: PayPal, Zelle, Cash App, personal check, money order, FSA, and HSA.

Please do not be discouraged if the out-of-pocket cost seems steep. Please still book a consult—we are happy to work something out with you.

Other Fees:

The Birth Kit
This is a common kit that homebirth midwives have their clients purchase. It contains all the essential items needed for your specific birth. Although the midwife comes prepared with her own supplies and equipment, we ask that your family also purchase this additional kit.

Birth Pool Liner
Not everyone chooses a water birth, so we do not include the birth pool liner in our regular supply inventory. For that reason, we ask clients who desire a water birth to purchase their own. This can also be purchased from Precious Arrows.

The Birth Assistant Fee
The birth assistant fee is now included in the overall package. A birth assistant is a para-health professional who assists the midwife during labor and birth. They are specially trained in medium to advanced skills, offering an additional set of skilled hands and enhancing safety and support during your homebirth.
